Mesothelioma Laws: An Introduction

Mesothelioma is one of the deadliest and rarest of the cancer types. Mesothelioma is gradually developed for the people who have been exposed to asbestos. The lawsuit for mesothelioma allows a person to file the case if the disease has developed through the exposure of asbestos. Mesothelioma laws provide you with various law firms, resources, settlements and law services.

The Code of Federal Regulations [Title 29, Volume 8, Part 1926] states that asbestos is considered one of the most hazardous and toxic substances. This chapter completely informs you about various regulations and assessments for the person who has the exposure to asbestos.

A mesothelioma lawsuit can be filed by any of the person?s family members in case that person has passed away. The lawsuit can also be filed by a family member who has developed the disease through a close contact with the person who has been exposed to asbestos. The compensation provided for the mesothelioma disease could be in millions of dollars.

One can claim compensation if that person has developed the deadliest mesothelioma through the exposure of asbestos. Mesothelioma is a different kind of cancer that could have been prevented easily from developing. It is caused by the fault of outsiders like the irresponsible firms that have made no protection against exposure to asbestos. The continuous inhaling of the exposure to asbestos results in mesothelioma. These are ingested into the human system and it damages the cells of the protective membrane which surrounds various organs.

Filing of the compensation is a simple process in which you have to show the eligibility to claim. In order to be eligible to claim, one needs to be quick since most states vary in the time limits that range from one to three years for the mesothelioma cases. As soon as the diagnosis has been confirmed, the mesothelioma sufferer should seek legal advice and assistance quickly to ensure the chances for the best compensation for his personal loss.

The compensation depends on various factors of the mesothelioma disease and it varies from hundreds of thousands of dollars, to millions of dollars. A mesothelioma lawyer can help you in the lawsuit filed for the compensation claimed for the disease developed through the exposure to asbestos.

First Limb Of Yoga - Asteya

Asteya - Is non-stealing and all of us have heard, Thou Shall not Steal. Yet, today there are so many creative ways to steal; many people do it quite naturally. How many people steal time, services, and products, from their employers? In 2001 US retailers lost 31 billion dollars because of theft.

A substantial portion of those figures was employee theft. Please bear in mind, these statistics are from one country, one industry, and these statistics are from 2001. There is an over abundance of theft going on. With the aid of a computer, a hacker can steal from people without ever having to see their face.

Common Internet scams include non-existent long lost relatives, who want to leave us millions of dollars. All we have to do is give away our bank account numbers, personal information, and social security numbers, in return for the promise of money.

Then, we can see what little we have withdrawn from our bank account by another scammer. Many people will say you cannot scam an honest person, but of course, you have telephone scams, which target trusting seniors.

The truth is a thief always has an excuse for stealing and usually blames the victim for the crime. Criminals are always happy to tell you how smart they are. Even, if you visit them in a correctional facility, and they are behind bars, they always have a new idea for making easy money.

If you feel in your heart that your action is a form of theft, then it most likely is. Remember these words of Jesus: "Do unto others as you would have them do to you."

The Direct TV Versus Dish Network Dilemma

Eenie meenie, miney mo - to which satellite TV service shall I go? Choosing between Direct TV (it is really called Directv) and the Dish Network is like deciding which political party is more corrupt than the other. It is all a matter of your perception of the programming and preference. Is one really better than the other? not really. They even have similar marketing promotions like a free satellite TV system when you purchase their satellite TV receiver or buy a certain programming package.

If you go by the number of customers alone, Directv would the outstanding choice. However, that is not necessarily true. They just have a lot more money to spend on advertising. How about price? Should you go by price alone to decide on a satellite dish network or a Direct satellite TV? The answer is no. Each of these satellite TV providers offers something a little different, which could make or break the choice, depending on preference. There is that pesky 'preference' thing again!

First of all, let us look at what they both have in common. Both companies present similar deals like free installation or a free satellite TV system. When it comes to movie and local television programming, the pricing is practically the same. Both the Dish Network and Direct TV offer DVR or digital video recording. With your Direct satellite TV however, you could upgrade to the Directv Tivo option for a nominal fee.

The differentiation is in the programming offered to subscribers. If you are aiming for a more international flavor, then the Dish Network would be your best bet. They have networks available in foreign markets that are broadcast in a variety of languages. So if you have transplanted yourself in the United States from somewhere else, chances are you might be able to catch the news and other shows from your homeland. Direct TV does have some foreign programming, mostly on the movie channels, but not the scope that the Dish Network offers.

Now, Directv subscribers have a plethora of options when it comes to American sports. Football, baseball, hockey, NASCAR ... these are important to sports fans. When the major sports have play-offs like the NFL or NBA, you can count on those rabid sports fans purchasing a 'pass' which buys a whole block of games. The Dish Network does offer sports, but they are more global in their choices. You will likely find rugby, lacrosse and soccer just as much as the football or baseball. They just don't have as much of a selection. So, if sports are your thing, then going for a Directv dish and satellite system is the best choice for you.

Now you have a perspective from both sides of the two major satellite TV service providers. Both offer similar programming. It is choosing the little things that will influence your decision. Think about the Directv Tivo option. Think about the future possibility of Directv HDTV. If having these things in the future is important, then perhaps your mind is already made up, unlike that decision about which political party is more corrupt ...

Great Exercises To Tone & Tighten Your Butt

A question I am frequently asked by females is, "What is the best exercise I can do for my butt?" In my opinion, there is nothing better you can do for your butt than lunges. They target your glutes, hamstrings and quads, and can easily be modified for beginners to advanced exercisers.

If lunges are new for you, begin with a reverse lunge. start with your feet together. Step back with your left leg. Bend both knees. The right shin should remain a straight line with the right ankle. The left knee should go straight down and almost touch the floor. Press through the right heel as you come up and bring feet back together. Now repeat with the other leg. Perform 12 repetitions per leg, and work up to 3 sets per workout. Feel free to hold on to something sturdy for support if you need to at first. Then, as you get stronger and more stable, you can do these lunges without the extra support. Try adding dumbbells at your side or a barbell across your shoulders for an increased challenge.

As you get stronger and want more of a challenge, you can progress to a walking lunge. These require more stability, strength and balance than reverse lunges. start with your feet together. Place your hands on your hips or by your sides if you are holding dumbbells. Step forward with a large step and bend both knees. Your front shin should remain a straight line with your ankle. Your back knee should almost touch the floor. As you are pushing up and at the top of your lunge, lunge forward with the other leg, repeating the same movement. Continue with this sequence, alternating from one leg to the other until you have finished 12 reps per leg.

Here is a list of exercises to tighten, tone and sculpt the butt:

Some tips to keep in mind:

2. Keep a straight back, do not arch!

3. Keep your head and chest up.

4. Never let the knee of your front leg go past your toes.

5. Your back heel should raise off the floor as you descend, but your toe should stay on the floor.

Smoking Fetish Of Women

According to one of the researches, it has been found that the smell and taste of cigarettes play a greater role in women's smoking behavior than in that of men. Another study found that cognitive-behavioral therapy aimed at changing attitudes about weight promotes smoking cessation by women. Even if we compare their stats with men, well be surprised to know that the guys who smoke are one out of every three. However, while smoking as well as smoking-related deaths from such diseases as lung cancer have been falling in men, they have been increasing in women. Smoking, in fact, takes a greater toll on the health of women than men; a smoking woman loses, on an average, 15 years of her life while a smoking man loses just over 13 years.

In the first half of the 20th century, lung cancer in women was extremely atypical. In addition to that smoking wasn't very ubiquitous. Unfortunately, that soon changed when the tobacco industry started targeting women. In 1964, the first Surgeon General's Report on Smoking and Health was released and it became clear that smoking was a deadly habit which engulfed 45 percentages of women all over. A media campaign followed and smoking rates began to fall, as did tobacco industry profits. But the rates declined more in men than women; the tobacco industry had started their own media campaign, once again marketing directly to women.

Lung Cancer

By 1987, lung cancer had outdone breast cancer as the leading cause of cancer deaths in women. Today, more women die each year from lung cancer than breast cancer, uterine cancer, and ovarian cancers combined. In fact, lung cancer among women is now considered a scourge, killing almost 75,000 in the US last year. Women appear to be more vulnerable to lung cancer than men, and they tend to get it at younger ages.

Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Shortness of breath
Fever with an unknown cause
Hoarseness
Chest pain
Wheezing
Coughing up blood
Chronic cough
Weight loss & loss of appetite
Repeated bouts of bronchitis or pneumonia

Other Smoking influenced Diseases in Women

While lung cancer might be the most lethal disease caused by smoking, it's not the only one. Smoking doubles the risk of having a heart attack, and increases the risk of dying from a heart attack within the first hour. This is an especially serious problem for women since women are more likely to die after a first heart attack than men. Women who use birth control pills; and smoke are at especially high risk of having a heart attack.

Smoking also increases the risk of other cancers, including breast, uterine cancer, bladder and oral cancer. Smoking also increases a woman's risk of low bone density and osteoporosis.

Smoking-Related Disorders in Women

Heart disease
Stroke
Lung cancer
Emphysema
Oral cancer
Uterine cancer
Breast cancer
Bladder cancer
Rectal cancer
Colorectal polyps
Osteoporosis
Infertility
Early Menopause
Miscarriages
Stillbirths

Family Matters

Smoking is not just bad for women; it's bad for their families and future families as well. Smoking can cause infertility in women. If a woman becomes pregnant, smoking increases her risk of miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births. Mothers who smoke during pregnancy are also more likely to have babies with asthma, sleeping disorders and chronic ear infections than non-smoking mothers. The menstrual cycle phase has an effect on both mood and tobacco withdrawal symptoms for women trying to quit smoking -- a finding that clearly suggests that women could improve their success rate simply by starting their quit attempt during certain days of their cycle.

Cosmetic and Other Considerations

Ironically, teens and young women often think smoking is sexy and glamorous. However, the consequences such as stained fingers and teeth, tooth loss, gum disease, bad breath are anything but sexy and glamorous. Smoking also hastens the aging process most likely because of its adverse effect on estrogen. It can cause early menopause, facial wrinkling, and permanent voice lowering and urinary incontinence.

Old Habits Die Hard

Women and girls are not only more susceptible than men to the negative consequences of smoking; they are more likely to become addicted to cigarettes even when smoking comparable amounts.

Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to a manand woman. Researchers are studying gender differences in smoking behavior and working to develop treatment plans that will help more women end their nicotine addiction. In fact, nicotine is considered more addictive than heroin or cocaine. And nicotine is more addictive for women than men.

The highly addictive nature of nicotine is a major reason why most people have difficulty quitting smoking, and women have a harder time quitting than men. Another thing that makes quitting difficult for women is the weight gain that, unfortunately, often accompanies quitting smoking. On the other hand, the weight gain, which rarely exceeds five pounds, can be reversed by a healthy diet and exercise.

More importantly, quitting smoking can also reverse many of the deadly consequences of the habit.

Weighing the Benefits

A woman who stops smoking reduces her risk of stroke to pre-smoking levels. Within a year, her smoking-related risk of heart disease drops by 50 percent. After three years, the risk of a heart attack is no greater than for a woman who never smoked. Within five years, her smoking-related risk of heart disease can disappear altogether. Clearly, the benefits of quitting outweigh the possibility of any weight gain. So think again...Are we going the right way?
